Wednesday afternoon

Lunch aboard while we watched other boats stream into the cove.
Ralph and Jacques napped on deck while Clara and I tended to our computer tasks.

We finally took pity on Jibe at the end of the afternoon and rode in to the beach in the dinghy. The public beach is quite large – filled with beach chairs both on the sand and under the pine trees. In one section there is a massage “parlor”. Skis, tubes, rafts, diving, rides on the “banana” – all beach amenities are available. There were 3 or 4 small restaurants, but all were closed by the time we arrived. Most people were on their way home.

The beach seemed to straighten itself up as soon as they left. I didn’t really see many employees, but by the time the beach was empty all the chairs were in neat rows and the sand was clean. ( The fact that almost no one gives napkins or other paper goods when you buy food may help with the clean-up quite a bit.)

Back to the boat for a vegetable grill and a quiet night.
